Baraka

So i was only able to watch this lovely movie for one out of the two days it was shown. In that first day i was annoyed with the movie at first because there was no dialogue but after about 30 minutes of silence i was finally able to focus on what the movie was really about. In the movie it showed many different cultures and places all over the world. It showed how different each of the cultures were and how they worshiped.
My favorite part in the movie was when all the men were doing that little chant thing. It was interesting to watch. I liked how the camera focused from different angles and how it didnt just watch the men from one spot. I liked how in the movie the camera focused on little things and also big important things. It showed the variety in the different places.
I liked the places that the movie chose to cover. It showed how they weren't discriminating on any place and that they wanted to show the beauty that every place has to offer. I thought the "pictures" in this movie were really beautiful and i hope one day i can go to some of these places and be able to capture some great pictures. My one question for this movie is how they were able to capture the footage that they got. Like the ones of the native people, how were they able to get up all in the person's face and video them? Did they ask or did they just zoom in? I was really confused with that. Overall it was a good movie.
